A woman is alleging she was seriously injured when a man "violently collided" with her vehicle.
Kristina L. Morgan filed suit against Michael J. Borkowski in St. Clair County Circuit Court on March 16. In her complaint, filed with the help of Philip R. Rice of Rice Law Offices in Belleville, Morgan alleges she was stopped in her 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier at the edge of the Wal-Mart parking lot in the 2600 block of Carlyle Avenue in Belleville waiting to turn right.
At the same time, Michael J. Borkowski, who was driving a 200 Ford F150 truck immediately behind Morgan's Cavalier, collided into Morgan's vehicle, according to court records.
In her suit, Morgan claims she was injured, suffered great physical pain and mental anguish and was prevented from attending to her usual duties and affairs.
She also incurred medical expenses, according to the complaint.
Borkowski negligently failed to keep his truck under control, drove too fast for the conditions, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to apply his brakes to avoid a collision, the suit states.
Morgan is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
