Chase Bank has filed suit against a Granite City man, alleging he failed to pay more than $80,000 on five different credit cards.
In a suit filed March 13 in Madison County Circuit Court, Chase Bank alleges Gary L. Duff entered into five different credit card retail installment credit agreements, but has defaulted on making payments to the cards.
Duff owes Chase Bank $84,161.42 on his five credit cards, the suit states.
Although the bank has demanded payment, Duff has refused to pay.
In addition to the balance due, the bank is seeking costs.
