A man has filed suit alleging he was injured after he was rear-ended.
Kory Links was driving west on Industrial Parkway in Sauget on Dec. 2 and was attempting to make a left-hand turn when Chris Woolverton, who was driving behind Link, crashed into the back of Links' vehicle, according to the complaint filed March 5 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Because of the collision, Links suffered permanent bodily injuries that caused him pain, discomfort and mental anguish and incurred medical expenses, the suit states.
Links also claims he has been restricted in his usual activities and affairs and lost wages.
Woolverton was negligent by attempting to improperly pass Links, by improperly using the left lane, by failing to keep his vehicle under control, by failing to brake to avoid a collision, by failing to drive at a reasonable speed and by passing vehicles near an intersection, according to the complaint.
Links is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
He is represented by James E. Gorman of Lucco, Brown, Threlkeld and Dawson in Edwardsville.
Madison County Circuit Court case number: 09-L-0219.
