A man has filed suit against a woman, alleging he was injured after she rear-ended the vehicle in which he was riding.
Landall Mack was a passenger in a 1998 Plymoth that was traveling north on South Madison at its intersection with McAlister in Lebanon on March 20, 2007, when Mary A. Kaz, who was driving a 2000 Hyundai in the same direction, struck the rear of the Plymoth, according to the complaint filed March 10 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Because of the accident, Mack sustained serious internal and external injuries, suffered pain and anguish and incurred medical expenses, the suit states.
Kaz was negligent by failing to stop or swerve to avoid a rear-end collision, Mack claims.
Mack is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
He is represented by William L. Wimmer of Wimmer, Stiehl and McCarthy in Belleville.
St. Clair Circuit Court case number: 09-L-0124.
