Suit filed over pedestrian's death in St. Clair County

A wrongful death suit is being filed against Kenneth Jones, Sr. over a fatal accident that took place on Collinsville Road near Harvard Place in St. Clair County on March 31, 2007.

According to the complaint filed March 2 in St. Clair County Circuit Court, Jones struck pedestrian David Kwasny who suffered injuries which resulted in his death.

The suit is being brought by the administrator of David Kwasny's estate, Vanessa Kwasny.

She claims that Jones drove too fast, negligently operated his vehicle and failed to exercise the highest degree of care.

She claims she has suffered great losses of a personal and pecuniary nature, including the loss of companionship and society of David Kwasny.

The suit seeks in excess of $50,000 in damages plus costs of the suit.

Kwasny is represented by Ronald D. Robinson of Amelung, Wulff, Willenbrock & Pankowski of St. Louis.
