Madison County asbestos suits filed Jan. 5-9

A total of four new asbestos lawsuits were filed in Madison County during the week of Jan. 5 through Jan. 9.

The following claims were filed:

--Clyde and Deborah Coleman of Illinois claim asbestosis. Clyde Coleman worked from 1956 until 1999 as an ironworker at various locations throughout Illinois and Missouri, according to the complaint. The Colemans are represented by Christopher R. Guinn, Christopher J. Levy, John A. Barnerd and Perry J. Browder of SimmonsCooper in East Alton. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 09-L-0002.

--Joseph and Frances D'Ambrisi of New Jersey claim mesothelioma. Joseph D'Ambrisi worked from 1951 until 1990 as an engineer at Mobil Oil Company in New Jersey, New York, California and Illinois, according to the complaint. The D'Ambrisis are represented by Randy L. Gori of Gori, Julian and Associates in Alton and W. Mark Lanier, Patrick N. Haines, R. Craig Bullock, J. Kyle Beale and Sara A. Morton of Houston served of counsel. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 09-L-0013.

--Fred J. and Doris Fox of Missouri claim lung cancer. Fred J. Fox worked as a steelworker at Granite City Steel from 1953 until 1986, according to the complaint. The Foxes are represented by Elizabeth V. Heller and Robert Rowland of Goldenberg, Heller, Antognoli and Rowland in Edwardsville. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 09-L-0012.

--Naomi Ruth and John W. Keeling claim mesothelioma. Naomi Ruth Keeling worked as a custodian, in school security and as a maintenance worker from 1976 until 1982, according to the complaint. She also performed home remodeling work in Kentucky, the suit states. The Keelings are represented by Randy L. Gori of Gori, Julian and Associates in Alton and W. Mark Lanier, Patrick N. Haines, R. Craig Bullock, J. Kyle Beale and Sara A. Morton of The Lanier Law Firm n Houston served of counsel. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 09-L-0008.
