Ronald S. Shuhayda has filed suit against Teresa M. Edwards, alleging he was seriously injured after her Mercury Cougar collided with his Harley Davidson.
Shuhayda was driving east on U.S. Highway 50 in O'Fallon on Nov. 9, 2007, at 12:25 p.m. when Edwards, who was turning left out of the Walgreen's parking lot, collided with him, according to the complaint filed Dec. 31 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Because of the accident, Shuhayda incurred property damage, experienced pain and suffering and incurred lost wages and medical bills, the suit states.
He claims Edwards was negligent because she failed to keep her vehicle under control, failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to stop or yield the right of way and failed to reduce her speed to avoid an accident.
Shuhayda is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
He is represented by Bill T. Walker of Granite City and by Dale M. Funk of O'Fallon.
