By Kelly Holleran | Dec 24, 2008

Susan Boester has filed suit against Patricia Hawkes, alleging her neck, shoulder and low back were injured after Hawkes rear-ended her.

Boester was driving north on Venita Drive at its intersection with Frontage Road in O'Fallon on Aug. 21 when Hawkes, who was driving north on Venita Drive, failed to stop in traffic and collided with Boester, according to the complaint filed Dec. 19 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

In addition to her injuries, Boester was made sick, sore, lame, disordered and disabled, incurred medical costs and suffered disability, the suit states.

She also claims she experienced pain and suffering and lost money from the loss of wages.

Hawkes was negligent by failing to keep a proper lookout, by failing to properly apply her brakes and by driving too fast, according to the complaint.

Boester is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs.

She is represented by Thomas C. Rich and Jennifer L. Barbieri of Fairview Heights.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 08-L-648.
