Michael Denbow has filed suit against Marcia Moore, alleging his neck, shoulders, back and body were injured after she rear-ended the car in which he was a passenger.
Denbow was riding in a vehicle traveling on Frank Scott Parkway West at its intersection with North 57th Street and Main Street in Belleville on April 26, according to the complaint filed Dec. 18 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
As the vehicle in which Denbow was riding was stopped at a red light, Moore rear-ended it, the suit states.
In addition to his injuries, Denbow claims he suffered great pain and mental anguish, has lost large sums of money because of his inability to pursue his normal employment and has incurred substantial medical expenses.
Moore was negligent by failing to stop, by driving too fast, by failing to keep a proper lookout and by failing to keep her vehicle under proper control, according to the complaint.
Denbow is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
Bruce R. Cook of Cook, Ysura, Bartholomew, Brauer and Shelvin in Belleville will be representing him.
