A Belleville woman has filed suit against a St. Clair County woman, alleging she was seriously injured after a collision.
Kristian P. Busler was driving a 2000 Saturn at the intersection of Highway 161 and Highway 159 in Swansea on Oct. 23, 2007, at about 7:30 a.m. when Brooke A. Robinson, who was driving a 2002 Toyota at the same intersection, collided with her, according to the complaint filed Dec. 4 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Because of the accident, Busler sustained injuries to her body and nervous system and suffered loss of income, pain and discomfort and has incurred medical costs, the suit states.
In addition, Busler has been physically limited and restricted, she claims.
Robinson was negligent because she failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to keep her vehicle under proper control, failed to stop or swerve to avoid a collision, drove too fast and failed to reduce her speed when approaching an intersection.
Busler is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000 but less than $75,000, plus costs.
Nathan C. Lanter of Nelson and Nelson in Belleville will be representing her.
