Ginnie Jenson has filed suit against Pramila Panta and Paul J. Herzberg, alleging she was seriously injured after a collision with them.
Jenson was driving north on North Illinois at its intersection with Ludwig Drive in Fairview Heights on Jan. 1, 2007, at about 9:40 a.m. when the incident occurred, according to the complaint filed Nov. 24 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
At the same time, Panta was driving south on North Illinois and failed to stop for an electrical signal, which caused her to hit Jenson's vehicle, the suit states.
Herzberg was driving east on Ludwig Drive when he also hit Jenson's vehicle, she claims.
Because of the multi-car collision, Jenson was made sick, sore, lame, disordered and disabled and suffered extensive injuries to her head, body and limbs, according to the complaint.
Her neck, shoulder, arm and low back were also injured and she incurred medical costs and disability, the suit states.
In addition, Jenson experienced pain and suffering and lost wages and suffered an impairment of future earning capacity, she claims.
Panta was negligent because she failed to keep a proper lookout, drove in such a manner that it caused a collision, failed to brake, drove too fast and drove without adequate brakes, according to the complaint.
Herzberg was negligent because he failed to keep a proper lookout, drove in such a manner that it caused a collision and drove too fast, the suit states.
In the two-count suit, Jenson is seeking a judgment in excess of $100,00, plus costs.
She is represented by John H. Hustava of Collinsville.
