Granite City crash blamed for injuries

A woman has filed suit against a Collinsville man, alleging she was injured after a collision.

Patricia Dineff was driving north on Nameoki Road near its intersection East Twenty-Third Street in Granite City on Aug. 7, 2007, at 7:25 p.m. and had a green light, according to the complaint filed Nov. 24 in Madison County Circuit Court.

Jory T.K. Wilson was driving west near the same intersection and attempted to turn left onto East Twenty-Third Street when he collided with Dineff, the suit states.

Because of the accident, Dineff claims he head, neck, shoulders, back, hips, knees and feet were severely and permanently injured and that she has suffered pain and mental anguish.

She also incurred medical costs and has lost wages, according to the complaint.

Wilson was negligent because he failed to keep his vehicle under control, failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to yield to Dineff's vehicle and drove too fast, the suit states.

Dineff is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs.

William P. Gavin of the Gavin Law Firm in Belleville will be representing her.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 08-L-1115.
