Wendler settles, dismisses personal injury suits

Brian Wendler, personal injury attorney to Teamsters truckers, settled three Madison County suits at once and moved to dismiss all three.

Wendler filed settlement stipulations for Gary Clark, Raymond Brown, Keith Yount and their spouses Sept. 16.

The truckers claimed they suffered injuries while hauling vehicles on trailers for Cassens Transport of Edwardsville.

Yount sued Cassens Transport, but Brown and Clark didn't.

They all sued auto dealer Cassens & Sons and family business Cassens Corporation.

Clark and Yount sued family member Lisa Shashek.

Yount also sued Mark Shashek, Allen Cassens, Jeff Cassens, Jeff Cassens Leasing, Cassens Auto Group, and Cassens executive Dwight Kay.

Brown and Yount sued family member Albert Cassens and the Albert Cassens Trust.

Clark sued Nissan North America and General Motors.

Brown sued Ford Motor and General Motors.

All three sued trailer maker Cottrell Inc., of Georgia.

Wendler pursued the suits in association with Thomas Maag of his firm and Charles Armbruster of the Lakin Law Firm.
