Suit filed on unpaid promissory notes totaling $1.2 million

Brian H. Bauer has filed a complaint against Jim Sehr, seeking more than $1.2 million for unpaid promissory notes.

According to the complaint filed July 29 in St. Clair County Circuit Court, Sehr executed "Note-1" on Jan. 26, 2006, in the principal amount of $576,012.

"Although duly demanded, Defendant has failed and/or refused to pay the balance due on Note-1," the complaint states.

Bauer claims the amount due on that note exclusive of attorneys' fees or costs is $595,600.85.

A second note executed July 8, 2007 has been in default since March of this year, the complaint states.

Bauer claims the amount due on "Note-2" as of July 15 is $660,043.77, not including costs of collection "in the event of Defendant's default," the complaint states.

Bauer is represented by William A. Schmitt and Michelle L. Rousseau of Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale of Swansea.
