Dennis J. Fredrick filed suit against Frank Petkovich, M.D. and St. Clair Orthopedics claiming medical malpractice related to a distal radial fracture.
According to a suit filed April 16 in St. Clair County Circuit Court, Petkovich allegedly removed the pins for a distal radial fracture (wrist fracture) on Sept. 30, 2006, after only two weeks, and Petkovich allegedly failed to properly align the fracture.
Fredrick claims he suffered a malunion which resulted in additional surgeries, median nerve dysfunction and injury to his hand and body as a whole.
Represented by Joseph A. Bartholomew of Cook, Ysursa, Bartholomew, Brauer & Shevlin in Belleville, Fredrick and his wife, Jo Ann Fredrick, are seeking in excess of $200,000 in damages.
Jo Ann Fredrick claims loss of consortium.
Dennis Fredrick claims he has sustained constant pain and suffering and has incurred and will become liable for additional sums in the future, and has suffered an impairment to his earning capacity.
