A woman injured in a Granite City traffic accident filed a personal injury suit against the driver of the vehicle that allegedly ran in to her.
Fraunka Treadway claims she was driving on Madison Avenue on Aug. 31, 2006, when Daniel Neil collided with her at the intersection of Clark Street.
Treadway claims Neil negligently failed to keep his vehicle under proper control, failed to reduce his speed, failed to turn from the proper position, failed to use a turn signal and failed to yield the right-of-way.
According to the suit filed April 3 in Madison County Circuit Court, Treadway sustained severe and permanent injuries which caused and will in the future cause extreme pain, medical expenses and loss of a normal life.
Represented by Todd Neilson of Callis, Papa, Hale, Szewczyk & Danzinger of Granite City, Treadway is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Nicholas Byron.
