Joe's Market Basket filed a civil suit against Landsculptures Landscaping Design (LLD) in Madison County Circuit Court March 28, alleging it has failed to pay past due invoices.
Represented by Micah Summers and David Gerber of Byron, Gerber, Petri & Kalb of Edwardsville, Joe's alleges that between June 1, 2007 and Sept. 13, 2007, it provided LLD landscaping goods and materials.
Joe's claims it has repeatedly asked for payment on the invoices however LLD has refused to make payments.
According to the complaint, LLD currently owes Joe's $21,190.09.
"All of the products provided by the plaintiff, were at the request of and for the benefit of defendant," the complaint states.
In addition to the balance owed, Joe's is seeking a judgment for interest and costs of the suit.
The case is set for mandatory arbitration.
