Big Daddy's customer says he was assaulted

Big Daddy's

A customer of Big Daddy's Restaurant in Belleville claims he suffered injuries to his face and head when he was assaulted on the premises May 6.

Tyler Icenogle is seeking in excess of $50,000 in damages from defendant Goodtimes Food and Spirits, doing business as Big Daddy's.

Icenogle is represented by Grey Chatham of Swansea.

According to the complaint filed Nov. 9 in St. Clair County Circuit Court, Big Daddy's failed to train its employees in security measures when it "knew, or in the exercise of due care should have known, that attacks upon said patrons were likely to occur by third persons."

"It negligently failed to provide adequate lighting, fences, security cameras and other security measures so as to properly and adequately protect its patrons," the complaint states.

Icenogle claims he has suffered great pain and mental anguish and has been disabled both physically and emotionally and will continue to be for the remainder of his life.
