American Express filed suit against Sandra Lee Guenther in Madison County Circuit Court Oct. 24, claiming the Glen Carbon resident breached her contract with them when she failed to make payments on her credit card account.
American Express claims Guenther agreed to all the terms and conditions associated with her Gold Card when she accepted and used the credit card.
The company claims that it mailed statements to Guenther in connection with the charges she made, but despite demands for payment Guenther failed to pay the amount she owes and failed to notify them of any errors.
New York based American Express claims Guenther owes them $96,487.65, plus accruing pre-judgment interest, reasonable attorneys fees and court costs.
