Brian Budde filed a medical malpractice suit against Dr. Sanit Saengsamran in Madison County Circuit Court alleging the doctor failed to exercise the degree of skill possessed by practitioners in the field of emergency medicine.
Represented by John Hopkins of Edwardsville, Budde claims he was seen in the emergency room at Alton Memorial on March 7.
He claims that while at the emergency room, Saengsamran disregarded his duty, and contrary to the common and good practice of competent and skilled physicians, was negligent by carelessly and negligently:
According to Budde, as a result of Saengsamran's negligence he was forced to have subsequent treatment and procedures in an attempt to repair the damage that was caused.
Budde also claims Saengsamran's actions caused him to suffer severe and permanent injuries that caused great pain and anguish, was caused to undergo subsequent operative procedures, prevented him from attending to his usual duties and affairs of life, and has lost, and will lose, the value of that time.
He is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Daniel Stack.
