US Bank filed suit against Ulice Jordan of Glen Carbon in Madison County Circuit Court Aug. 13, claiming Jordan failed to make payments on a loan for a 2005 Mercedes-Benz.
According to the complaint, the two entered into the loan agreement on June 22, 2005, and Jordan was to pay $1,456.94 a month for 60 months.
US Bank claims Jordan defaulted by failing to make her payments and currently owes $53,322.94, plus interest and attorney fees.
"Although plaintiff has duly demanded payment, defendant has not paid any part or portion of the sums owed to plaintiff," the complaint states.
US Bank is represented by Steve Baron and John Fitzpatrick of Mandell Menkes in Chicago.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Nicholas Byron.
