Tracy Brooks filed a personal injury suit against Ameristar Casino St. Charles in Madison County Circuit Court May 23.

Brooks claims she was eating at the restaurant in Ameristar on Dec. 12, 2005, when she slipped and fell after walking through a spill.

She claims the casino failed to exercise ordinary care for her safety by negligently and carelessly failing to clean up spills and for failing to warn customers that there was a spill in the aisle.

Brooks claims the fall caused injuries to her neck and back resulting in medical expenses, pain and suffering, and lost wages.

Represented by Lance Mallon of Wood River, Brooks is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
