Road depression causes Olin security guard's ankle injury, suit claims

Olin

A security guard that inspected vehicles as they entered and exited Olin filed a personal injury suit in Madison County Circuit Court May 29, alleging she was injured when she stepped into a depression in the road at Olin's entrance.

Deann Bush claims she injured her left ankle on Oct. 3, 2005, while visually inspecting the vehicles coming and going from the Olin plant.

Bush claims Olin failed to maintain its facility as to provide her a safe place to work by permitting a depression to develop in the entry/exit road of its facility.

She also claims Olin failed to maintain the road at its facility and failed to repair the depression in the road when it knew or should have known the depression existed.

Bush claims her injuries have caused her to suffer pain in the body and mind, medical expenses and lost wages.

Represented by J. Robert Edmonds of Alton, Bush is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, but less than $75,000, plus costs and attorney fees.
