Take back rights!

To the editor:

I read with concerned interest the letter from the young father from Troy in the April 9 edition.

It brought to mind the tragedy that happened in Greenville 10 and a half years ago. Then, a father who loved his children lost his fight to at least attain joint custody of his children.

What is it going to take to get the attention of the court system, that the people are tired of its antics?

The young man I am speaking of from Bond County went through the same process and was not given an opportunity to tell his side of the story and his own attorney sold him out.

I don`t want to go too deeply into this case, but the people who remember what I am referring to know the unfairness of the court system in that instance.

The letter from Mr. Roman sounds identical to what was done in Bond County. The ex-wife also perjured herself on the witness stand. I thought that was an offense.

The court says it has the best interest of children in mind, but how can it be? Isn`t the best welfare of children to let them spend equal time with both parents?

Is letting one parent brain-wash a child into turning against another parent, healthy? It seems to me that a parent who does this isn`t as loving as they want people to think they are.

Why would the courts want to hurt children by causing them to turn against a parent that they have loved and trusted?

How can the lawyers and judges continue to ignore the laws of our land and above all God's laws? People, wake up and take back what is our God given rights!
