Attorney Gary Peel's trial has been delayed for a day because the court reporter assigned to the case was involved in an auto accident this morning on her way to work.
Peel was indicted in March 2006 on charges of bankruptcy fraud, obstruction of justice and possession of child pornography.
The trial was also delayed because two jurors chosen yesterday, informed Stiehl today that they do in fact face hardships. Stiehl recalled seven jurors and picked two more alternates.
Stiehl had originally planned on having two alternates, but went with four because of all of the publicity surrounding the case.
The trial will resume with opening arguments at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. Court will be in recess on Friday.
Next week, the court will be in session Monday through Thursday, and will again be in recess on Friday.
