Salvation Army and driver sued over collision

Amy L. Boecklen is seeking in excess of $100,000 from the Salvation Army and its truck driver for rendering her vehicle worthless after an auto accident March 10, 2005.

She filed suit March 8 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

"That various parts of plaintiff's vehicle were destroyed and rendered worthless, and the vehicle became greatly depreciated and reduced in value," the complaint states.

Boecklen, represented by Jeanne L. Aubuchon of Neubauer, Aubuchon & Dodd of Fairview Heights, also claims she was severely and permanently injured both externally and internally when the truck driver Randall L. Summit rear-ended her vehicle which was stopped in traffic on South Belt East in Belleville.

She claims the driver drove too fast, failed to keep his vehicle under control and failed to keep a proper lookout.
