New associate judgeship created in Third Circuit

The Illinois Supreme Court has authorized the addition of a new associate judge position in the Third Judicial Circuit.

Applications may be obtained from the office of Madison County Chief Judge Ann Callis, or online at www.state.il.us/court.

Interested persons have until March 19 at 5 p.m. to turn them in to Cynthia Y. Cobbs, Director, Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, 3101 Old Jacksonville Rd., Springfield, 62704-6488.

Any licensed attorney residing within the Third Judicial Circuit--Madison and Bond counties--may apply.

Last year Madison County added another new associate judge position because of population gains.

Stephen Stobbs was sworn into office as associate judge on June 19.
