A former employee of the investment banking firm Morgan Stanley claims he is entitled to more than $100,000 in fees and commissions in part because he procured an $18.5 million investment from the St. Louis Sewer District.
Dana C. Howard filed a civil lawsuit Oct. 20 in St. Clair County.
Represented by Mark C. Goldenberg of Edwardsville, Howard claims Morgan Stanley did not fully compensate him in accordance with its contractual agreement.
"There remains due and owing from the Defendant to the Plaintiff a sum to be determined during and at the close of discovery, but which can not be determined now since the information required for said termination is in the sole and exclusive possession and control of the Defendant," the complaint states.
"Plaintiff was also to share in commissions and fees with regard to certain shared investment accounts with managers and agents of the Defendant including Andrew Millas, a branch manager for Defendant."
Howard was employed by Morgan Stanley from 2001 until he resigned in August 2005 "in part upon Defendant's breach of its agreements with Plaintiff," the complaint states
