Alton dentist sued for malpractice

Tracey Underwood sued her dentist in Madison County Circuit Court Oct. 18, seeking damages in excess of $100,000.

According to the complaint, Underwood claims Danielle Csaszar, D.M.D., of College Family Dentistry in Alton, failed to treat her in an appropriate manner on Aug. 10, 2005.

Underwood claims Csaszar negligently extracted her lower front teeth, failed to inform her she planned to extract her teeth, failed to provide dentures after extraction, and failed to provide proper charting of the ongoing treatment.

"Plaintiff has been forced to have subsequent treatment and procedures in an attempt to repair the damage caused by defendant," the complaint states.

Underwood claims due to Csaszar's alleged negligence, the loss of her lower teeth caused problems with talking and eating. She also claims she suffered pain and suffering, a disability, medical expenses and lost wages.

She is represented by Lance Mallon of Wood River.
