An East St. Louis McDonald's restaurant is being sued by the family of a male shot and killed in its drive-through lane two years ago.
Louise Blue, special administrator for the estate of Ladavis Blue, filed suit Aug. 22 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
She claims Ladavis Blue was approached by a "male factor who shot plaintiff's deceased in the head" while he was in the passenger seat of a vehicle on Aug. 23, 2004.
Blue claims the restaurant and its owner, AMF Ohare, were negligent in providing adequate security to customers. She is seeking in excess of $50,000.
Michael L. McGlynn represents Blue.
