A passenger in a vehicle driven by Samantha Adams filed suit against Hollywood Show Club in Washington Park claiming the adult entertainment nightclub gave or sold alcoholic beverages to his companion.
While driving on Illinois State Route 15 on Jan. 7, Adams left the road, drove into a cluster of trees, and injured Robert Foster. She was intoxicated, the complaint states.
Foster claims his injuries have hindered and prevented him from tending to his usual and customary affairs, duties and occupation and has lost and will continue to lose wages, profits and the value of that time.
He also claims he suffered a great deal of pain and anguish and became liable for medical expenses related to his injuries.
The suit was filed Aug. 9 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Foster is seeking a judgment for $171,074.38, and any other recovery he is entitled to under the Illinois Dram Act.
He is represented by Marc Scoggins of Columbia.
