A former Auffenberg Ford employee is suing the O'Fallon auto dealership for wrongful termination.
William Villiger filed suit Aug. 2 in St. Clair County Circuit Court, seeking in excess of $100,000.
He claims he was fired March 13 after telling his employer he was going to seek worker's compensation benefits for workplace injuries that occurred on Oct. 31, 2005 and Dec. 22, 2005.
Represented by Gregory L. Shevlin of Cook, Ysursa, Bartholomew, Brauer & Shevline of Belleville, Villiger claims he has been deprived of his lawful employment, lost income and benefits, and suffered mental anguish.
