To the editor:
I would like to offer my two cents on the view that Judge Maddox is a straight shooter.
I would like to say that is an overly nice way to say she is opinionated, close-minded and in a hurry to get things off her docket.
We were in front of her a few years back on a family matter. Judge Maddox simply ruled on the charges without hearing any evidence saying "Don't do that." or "That is ok."
I am all for a quick, effective legal system but why should court be run at break neck speed even though the rest of the system is painfully slow? You wait all that time to get your day in court and then it is abbreviated.
I understand that family law is a hard gig, but Judge Maddox is jaded and deserves neither respect nor a job.
