TheBANK of Edwardsville Grand Opening in O'Fallon Illinois

TheBANK of Edwardsville
Celebrates O'Fallon Center Opening
With Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

TheBANK of Edwardsville expanded its reach into St. Clair County last Monday with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting of its full-service location at the corner of Green Mount Road and Frank Scott Parkway in O'Fallon.

President & CEO Tom Holloway, Market President Bob Christiansen, members of TheBANK's Board of Directors and civic leaders from O'Fallon were on hand to mark the opening.

TheBANK recently began operating the location after purchasing it from Old National Bank. Earlier this year, TheBANK opened its first St. Clair County location in the Bronze Pointe business complex along Route 159.

"TheBANK of Edwardsville is extremely proud to be here today to mark the opening of our O'Fallon Center," Holloway said. "We are excited about expanding our community banking services further in St. Clair County."

TheBANK's O'Fallon Center has lobby hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays. The location's drive-up is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. The Center offers TheBANK's full line of consumer and commercial deposit and loan services, and features a 24-hour, drive-up ATM.

"TheBANK has been considering ways to expand our franchise into St. Clair County for some time," Christiansen said. "Now with locations in O'Fallon and Swansea, we are bringing our services to customers here. Plus, they'll have the convenience of banking at all of our 16 locations and using our 25 ATMs throughout the region."

TheBANK of Edwardsville is a locally-owned community bank that was founded in 1868, Holloway noted. TheBANK has a 138-year tradition of providing personal service, offering the most innovative products and giving back to the community in which it serves.

"In addition to our strong belief in taking care of people, we have a long history of giving back to our community," he said during the event. "We support the community with monetary contributions and our employees even volunteer, sometime even on bank time, to help groups in the community."

"It is a great time to be in St. Clair County," Christiansen added. "The future in the area looks very positive and we want to be a part of it."

TheBANK had two locations in Edwardsville until 1990 when it purchased the Collinsville and Troy locations of Madison County Federal Savings and Loan. In 1992, TheBANK expanded into Alton with the acquisition of Olympic Federal Savings and Loan. TheBANK moved into Granite City and Pontoon Beach in 1998 when it merged with Omni Bank. TheBANK also has added locations in Highland in 1995 and in Bethalto in 1998. In addition to adding the O'Fallon and Swansea Centers recently, The BANK built a location in Glen Carbon in 2001 and another there in 2003.

TheBANK has locations in Edwardsville, Alton, Bethalto, Collinsville, Glen Carbon, Granite City, Highland, O'Fallon Pontoon Beach, Swansea and Troy, and has assets exceeding $1 billion. For more information about TheBANK of Edwardsville, visit www.4thebank.com.
