Bowler files dram suit against Montclaire

Nicholas Stack filed a dram shop suit against Montclaire Bowl and its owner Philip Kammann is Madison County Circuit Court April 3, seeking damages in excess of $100,000.

Stack also names Gary Sterr as a defendant.

He claims that Sterr was drinking alcoholic beverages at the bowling center on June 14, 2005, which made him become intoxicated.

According to the complaint, Stack was assaulted by Sterr after he left Montclaire and suffered severe injury, including the loss of sight in one eye, a severe loss of hearing in one ear and other serious injuries.

The alleged assault took place in the area of 817 Lancashire Drive, in Edwardsville.

Stack claims that his injuries caused and in the future will cause pain and suffering, loss of wages, disabity and disfigurement and he has become liable for medical expenses.

Stack is represented by Joseph Brown of Lucco, Brown, Threlkeld, and Dawson of Edwardsville.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Andy Matoesian.
