A Belleville woman filed a personal injury suit against Bi-State Development Agency claiming a bus struck her on a crosswalk.
Sara Lehmann filed suit Jan. 19 in St. Clair County Circuit Court alleging she was struck at 110 Carlyle Plaza in Belleville on Aug. 8, 2005. Lehman claims Bi-State driver Larcenia Byrd, of East St. Louis, failed to yield.
She claims severe and permanent injuries to her face, head, neck, back, hands, legs and feet which have caused severe pain and suffering in both body and mind.
Lehman also claims she has become responsible for medical expenses and has lost the enjoyment of her life.
Represented by Turner Rouse of the Rouse Law Firm in Belleville, Lehmann is seeking damages in excess of $100,000 plus all costs of the suit.
