A St. Clair County business is suing a Missouri firm for alleged overdue payments.
PJW Enterprises filed a lawsuit on May 5 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Brady McCasland Inc. of Chesterfield, alleging breach of contract in an unresolved January 2015 business matter.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff and the defendant were in a business relationship wherein the plaintiff regularly performed work for the defendant without incident for over 9 years, invoicing McCasland and receiving timely payment. The suit states that the defendant initiated the relationship by asking the plaintiff to perform the work and offering to pay for its services.
However, the defendant allegedly failed to remit payment beginning on July 28, 2014, and lasting through Jan. 15, 2015, the complaint states. PJW Enterprises claims the defendant has incurred a total debt of $160,290.00.
PJW argues that McCasland breached the oral contract, acknowledging the debt but still failing to honor it.
Alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment, the plaintiff seeks damages in the exact amount of $160,290.00, plus attorneys’ fees and costs.
