Two Madison County women brought charges against a driver for alleged recklessness in a July 2013 car accident.

Karen and Emily Lautz filed a complaint alleging negligence against Lora Cook in the Madison County Circuit Court on Feb. 12.

According to the complaint, the women were headed southbound on Bluff Road in Madison County on July 12, 2013, when the defendant allegedly failed to yield the right of way and is claimed to have struck the women’s vehicle.

Claiming severe injury and pain, lost wages, loss of enjoyment of life and disability as a result, they seek damages of over $50,000.
