A company alleges it is owed more than $75,000 for work it performed and for which it was not fully paid.
Illini Environmental filed a lawsuit Dec. 31 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Tradebe Treatment and Recycling.
According to the complaint, Illini worked on a project involving a 30,000-gallon tank for the defendant and charged Tradebe for the work on June 30. Since then, however, Tradebe has failed to pay $75,453.46 for the work, the suit states.
"Tradebe did submit [a check] in the amount of $30,037.82 in partial payment to Illini Environmental, while noting its 'adjustments' to certain line item charges on the invoice," the suit states. "Illini Environmental disputes Tradebe's adjustments and has not cashed Tradebe's partial payment."
In its complaint, Illini seeks the money it alleges it is owed, plus service charges, attorney fees, costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and other relief the court deems just.
Attorneys Robert J. Golterman and David A. Weder, of Lewis, Rice and Fingersh in St. Louis, will represent Illini Environmental.
