Woman alleges injuries in collision

A motorist has filed suit against the driver whom she alleges struck her vehicle.

According to the complaint, Marla C. Runge was driving a 2008 Ford F150 west on state Route 3 at its intersection with Broadway Connection in Alton on Feb. 28, 2013, when defendant Nicholas J. Bonfiglio, who was driving east on Landmark Boulevard at the same intersection, failed to obey a traffic control device and struck Runge's vehicle.

Because of the collision, Runge suffered serious and permanent injuries, incurred medical costs, suffered great pain and anguish and incurred property damages, according to the complaint filed Dec. 19 in Madison County Circuit Court.

Bonfiglio negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, drove too fast, failed to obey a traffic device and failed to keep his vehicle under control, the suit states.

Runge seeks a judgment of more than $150,000, plus costs.

Attorney H. Carl Runge Jr., of the Law Offices of H. Carl Runge Jr. in Collinsville, will represent the plaintiff.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 14-L-1730.
