Motorcyclist sues for injuries allegedly suffered in accident

A motorcyclist is suing a woman for injuries allegedly sustained in a car-on-motorcycle accident.

Christopher D. Mitchell filed the lawsuit in St. Clair County Circuit Court on Nov. 17, citing negligent driving by Breanna M. Wilson.

According to the claim, Mitchell was riding his motorcycle near the intersection of state Route 161 and Morgan Street in Swansea when Wilson, attempting to make a left turn from the opposite direction, hit Mitchell with her car. Mitchell alleges he was injured in his neck, arm and shoulder.

Mitchell is suing for damages in excess of $50,000, plus court fees. He is represented by attorney Bruce R. Cook of Cook, Ysursa, Bartholomew, Brauer & Shevlin in Belleville.
