A Freeburg woman is suing a party bus company for injuries allegedly sustained in a fall.
Balinda S. Tritley filed the lawsuit in St. Clair County Circuit Court on Nov. 17, citing negligence by the owners of Ultimate Party Bus Rentals and the bus driver, Claudine R. Hickam.
According to the complaint, Tritley fell when Hickam applied the brakes suddenly and without warning. Tritley alleges she had injuries to her shoulder and back from the fall. She is also suing the company for not properly maintaining the bus’ braking system.
Tritley is suing for damages in excess of $50,000, plus court fees. She is represented by attorney Gregory M. Skinner of Swansea.
