A woman alleges she suffered permanent and severe damages to her back, head, neck, arms and shoulders after a driver allegedly ran a red light and struck her vehicle.
Carlota Diaz filed a lawsuit Nov. 12 in Madison County Circuit Court against Toni J. Milner.
In her complaint, Diaz alleges she was driving north on Frey Lane in St. Clair County on Sept. 28, 2013, when Milner, who was driving west on Lincoln Highway, ran a red light and struck Diaz's vehicle.
In addition to her injuries, Diaz experienced great pain and suffering, endured disability and incurred medical costs of $19,542.36, according to the complaint. She also lost wages, the suit states.
Diaz blames Milner for causing the collision, saying she negligently failed to exercise the highest degree of care, failed to keep her vehicle under proper control and failed to keep a proper lookout.
In her complaint, Diaz seeks medical costs, lost wages and other relief the court deems just.
Attorney James E. Klenc, of the Law Offices of James E. Klenc in St. Charles, will represent Diaz.
