A woman has filed suit against the driver whom she alleges rear-ended her vehicle.
Kathy Birke alleges she was driving on Camp Jackson Road near its intersection with the Interstate Highway 255 south exit ramp on Nov. 12, 2012, when defendant Michael Anderson, who was driving on the same road, rear-ended her vehicle.
Because of the collision, Birke sustained severe and permanent injuries, according to the complaint filed Oct. 15 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Anderson negligently drove too fast, failed to maintain a safe distance between his vehicle and Birke's and failed to apply his brakes, the suit states.
In her complaint, Birke seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
Attorney Kenneth K. Vuylsteke of Fox and Vuylsteke in Webster Groves, Mo. will represent Birke.
