A passenger who alleges she was hurt when the Metro bus she was riding in crashed into a car in Fairview Heights, is suing.
Tammy Williams-Jackson filed a lawsuit Oct. 10 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against The Bi-State Development Agency of the Missouri-Illinois Metropolitan District, doing business as Metro. Darryl Randall and Martha Dixon are also named as defendants.
According to the complaint, Williams-Jackson was riding on a bus being driven by Randall in October 2013. Heading west on Market Place, Randall allegedly tried to turn right onto Highway 159 at the same time as Dixon was turning her car right onto the highway. Williams-Jackson claims the bus and the car collided, causing her to hit her back on a metal window frame.
Williams-Jackson accuses Metro, the bus driver and the driver of the car of negligence and asks for more than $100,000 in damages for medical expenses, lost wages and court costs.
She is represented by attorneys Michael J. Brunton and Mary M. Stewart of Collinsville.
