Madison County fuel company allegedly owed more than $17,000

A Madison County fuel company says it wasn't paid for the more than $17,000 in gas and other fuels it sold to a Kentucky construction company.

Piasa Motor Fuels LLC filed a lawsuit Sept. 29 in Madison County Circuit Court against All Purpose Steel Construction Inc. and Gregory James.

According to the complaint, Piasa extended a line of credit to All Purpose Steel in October 2013 for the purchase of fuel. However, as of Aug. 30 the outstanding balance of the account is allegedly more than $17,000 and has yet to paid.

Piasa accuses the company and the guarantor of its account, James, of breach of contract. Piasa asks to be paid the amount it is owed plus service charges and court costs.

Attorneys Jill R. Rembusch and Petya B. Beltcheva of St. Louis represent the company.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 14-L-1333.
