Madison County man alleges driver was drunk and speeding at time of crash

Bradley J. Peters and Andrew M. Webb filed a lawsuit on Sept. 26 in Madison County Circuit Court against John Kronable, Big John's Corner LLC, Bradley Stockstill and BB's Bar & Grill Inc. Tina Matson, doing business as the Pour House, and Zane R. Aud are also named as defendants.

On April 12, according to the petition, John Kronable at Big John's Corner and Michael Miller at Pour House, served alcoholic beverages to defendant Zane R. Aud. As a direct result, Webb contends Aud was intoxicated when he alleged crash a vehicle after leaving the establishment.

Webb says he was a passenger in Aud's K1500 Chevy pick-up truck driving south on State Highway 16 when Aud "traveled off the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned the vehicle." Webb says he was seriously hurt in the crash that he contends happened because Aud was intoxicated and speeding.

Webb accuses the bars and their owners of  of violating the Dram Shop Act and accuses Aud of negligence. He asks to be awarded more than $50,000 for medical bills, lost wages, disfigurement, pain and suffering.
