A Fairview Heights nail salon is being sued after one of its customers was allegedly left with chemical burns on her hands.
Danielle Pierson filed a lawsuit Oct. 3 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Binh Ngryen, doing business as #1 Nails.
Pierson says she was a customer of #1 Nails in the 600 block of Lincoln Highway in October 2012 and requested to have acrylic nails put on her hands. Pierson claims one of the employee improperly applied a chemical to her thumbs and left severe burns on her nail beds. She alleges both thumb nails fell off because of the burns.
Pierson accuses Ngryen of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical costs, lost wages and court fees. Attorney Samuel A. Mormino Jr. of Alton represents Pierson.
St. Clair County Circuit Court Case Number: 14-L-673.
