Rock Bottom Bar owners sued over customer's broken jaw

A Mt. Olive man says his jaw was broken by two other men who allegedly attacked him at a Madison County bar.

Kenneth E. Hopper filed a lawsuit Sept. 11 in Madison County Circuit Court against Dean Tiepelman and Kenneth Lynn White.

Hopper says he was a customer at the Rock Bottom Bar in Williamson on March 16. Shortly after midnight, according to the complaint, Hopper was beaten up by Tiepelman and White. He says his jaw was broken in the altercation.

Hopper accuses Tiepelman and White of battery and asks for more than $100,000 in damages for medical bills, loss of income and court costs. Attorneys with the law firm of Ruyle, Sims & Bellm in Carlinville represent Hopper. They request a jury trial.
