I-64 accident results in injury suit

A woman is suing over claims she was injured in a collision on Interstate 64.

Lakisha and Christopher Brown filed a lawsuit Aug. 5 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Dove Industries Inc. and Eric E. Stephenson, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Stephenson was operating a vehicle owned by Dove Industries on Interstate 64 in St. Clair County on Oct. 13, 2012, when he struck a vehicle which then collided with the vehicle in which Lakisha Brown was a passenger, causing injury to her person. The defendants are accused of negligent driving.

The Browns are seeking more than $50,000 in damages. They are being represented in the case by attorney Gregory M. Tobin of Pratt and Tobin in East Alton.
